Greetings!

Have you met Tony and Jonathan? They are the voices behind SteelNow’s recently released podcast, In The Now. Twice monthly, Tony and Jonathan, along with their production team, explore how technology, and current market conditions are affecting traditional industries now, and the possible ramifications of that in the future.

We believe it is an important topic given all that has occurred in the last 12-18 months. We’ve all experienced major changes to the way we do business, and we believe In the Now takes a unique approach to providing you with insight into how that may affect you, your company, or your friends and family.

But, why us? Who are we? Great questions!

From Tony:

Hello friends! My name is Tony, I’ve been working as SteelNow’s Lead Software Engineer for the last two years. I’ve been involved in the development of everything from our website to our in-house tools. I've worked in technology for about 12 years, primarily focused on introducing software to traditional businesses and automating older systems.

I’ve worked with healthcare, armored truck, and construction companies, and now a metal company. All have had one thing in common: A reliance on manual processes that become a bottleneck, preventing growth.

In my spare time, I listen to a lot of heavy metal music, play guitar, and take care of my family of five. One of my favorite things about being in the metal industry is the heavy metal puns I get to make on a regular basis. Problems in the metal industry do require some HEAVY solutions.

Hello everyone! My name is Jonathan, I’ve been with SteelNow for two years, and my role is Customer Operations Manager. I am the guy who helps take care of your metal needs and is here to answer any questions you might have about metal.

At SteelNow, our concept is simple: Let us do the work for you. I work to ensure you have a great experience, and strive to make the metal-buying experience seamless and, believe it or not, enjoyable!

I’ve been in the metal industry for about five years. Overall, it’s been about 12 years of sales and customer service experience for me, working in insurance and banking prior.

In my spare time I enjoy going on a drive with my buddies on back roads, gaming on a gaming PC that I built (that’s right, I am a hobbyist!), and hanging out with my wife and our five dogs. That's right, I said five! My friends call me the “dog whisperer”. Deservingly so. I’m always learning something new in this industry and look forward to many more years to come. I appreciate your business with Steel Now! We have a lot of fun making the podcast and I hope you have fun listening to it.
